Dedicated areas of the shooting properties are open walk-up hunting on non-driven days. Available by membership or single bookings, join us for this classic American sport.
Enjoy a classic day in the field, on walk-up over dogs. Areas of the Blixt shooting properties are open and dedicated to walk-up on non-driven days for members and those interested in booking the experience. You will enjoy an unlimited bag limit of pheasant and red-legged partridge, taking advantage of the large populations on the properties that are released early in the season.
There are two walk up hunting options. A yearly membership which allows seasonal access and event packages. Members are self guided and are welcome to hunt any day that shooting grounds are available with reservation. Event packages include guides and full hospitality.
Bring your own dog, or you can engage Blixt & Co dog handlers.

Designed for the individual with a passion for traditional walk-up hunting over dogs. This one year membership focuses on the joy of a day in the field.
Members have access to the Blixt & Co shooting properties that feature dedicated areas open to members on a first come, first served booking. The walk-up zones are open on non-driven days throughout the season and take advantage of the large populations of pheasant and partridge on the property released early in the season. The birds are prolific and strong on the wing.

You are limited to 8 birds/day, although you do have the option to buy more if you would like.
When you check out in the game book for the day, please note quantities of species and sex. We ask all hunters to handle and care for the game respectfully, utilizing your harvest in a consciences way. If you would like us to process the game for you, there is a small fee to do so.
We manage the walk-up areas on a first come, first serve basis. It is critical that you check in and are allocated a walk-up zone. It is also very important that you know the boundaries and limits for your zone. If you have questions, feel free to ask as we would be glad to give you a guided tour.
Yes. We offer a range of gauges. Please let us know if advance if you would like to purchase cartridges.
Yes. We can arrange a dog and handler to accompany you, but it must be booked in advance.
Yes. You will need a valid Idaho State Preserve License. This is a limited license and is not valid for other small game in areas outside of a shooting preserve.
**IF YOU ARE BORN AFTER 1975, you must have completed Hunter Safety and provide your hunter safety number to get a Idaho Hunting License.**
